“The Artist”

Paton began painting with oils in 1968 when she ventured into the remote wilderness of the Arctic Watershed. She later moved to the Mississaugi River Valley and into the haunts of some of the Group of Seven who so greatly inspire her work. Paton’s impressionistic style captures the light and texture of her much loved wilderness. It has been said of her wilderness painting that she, “Captures the Soul of the Earth.” Paton feels every painting is a
